Post-vacation transition to the kitchen

I was feeling a bit rusty in the kitchen Monday night after 10 glorious days of vacation. It’s not that every meal away was a winner, but there is something delicious about not having to worry one whit about what to put on the table.

We came home late to an empty refrigerator. My husband offered to run to the store for breakfast essentials but I decided to order online at AmazonFresh. On our doorstep before 6am the next morning were four bins of groceries to last us the week. Including fresh wild rockfish fillets, just the ticket for a healthy first meal back at home after a week of french fries.

I found a quick curry recipe for fish by Madhur Jaffrey in my binder of clips.  While looking for the recipe online, I discovered the website RecipeZaar features many 0f her recipes. Accompanied by basmati rice and pan-roasted asparagus, the colorful fish dish made for an easy appetizing dinner.
